Off to the Bahamas

I recently finished shooting a beautiful boutique resort on Grand Bahamas Island called Old Bahama Bay  on the western end of the island.

Fantastic property!

It is the closest habituated location that I am aware of to the United States, roughly 60 miles east of West Palm Beach.  As a port of entry, the property caters to celebrities, honeymooners, adventurers and those escaping their stateside for tranquility and island charm.

I have posted a promotional piece I created to showcase both images I have taken and to give you an idea of the property.

First show

I treat it as not a big deal and it is.

I was asked at the last minute to participate in the Kulture Klash 4 event here in Charleston SC last night.

Thinking back, I am stoked to have been shown with such talent in what I considered a pretty kick ass party.

Images I submitted.

All prints are one of one.
11x16 matted and set behind glass then mounted using a uni-frame.
$200 each

"Take the risk and go"

"Fierce Grace"

"Fearlessly she said I AM"

andy warhol

Recently I watched a documentary on Andy Warhol.

Good stuff.

These inspire me.

"I suppose I have a really loose interpretation of ''work,'' because I think that just being alive is so much work at something you don't always want to do. The machinery is always going. Even when you sleep. "

"I'm afraid that if you look at a thing long enough, it loses all of its meaning. "

"I think having land and not ruining it is the most beautiful art that anybody could ever want to own."
Andy Warhol

Artist that kicks ass.

I attended a show last night and viewed some really fantastic artwork!  One artists that I really dug;

Ryan Cronin.

Described in his words, "When people look at my work I want them to feel an immediate impact, even if they're not sure what hit them. The raw, almost childlike appearance of my work belies my reflective underlying vision. I delight in unexpected or enigmatic juxtapositions in terms of both theme and placement, and often bring a sense of humor to bear on troubling contemporary issues. This sensibility, combined with quick, instinctive brushstrokes and a vibrant palette, result in striking images that can simultaneously disturb and entertain."

Project Blow Out

So I have begun a new project thats intention is to re-create vintage images of the early 20th century through digital means.  Result, contemporary style, vintage feel. I hope you enjoy.
